If you have an Android phone, you’ll be familiar with the update process for Android versions: Google launched the beta, eventually pushing on Pixel devices before manufacturers rolled-out other devices about 6 months later.

When Will Android 10 Will Release ?

Android 10 beta was announced on 13 March 2019 and the final release for the phone Pixel starting on 3 September. There’s a system-wide dark mode, new gesture navigation, increased security and more. Check out what’s new here.

When will Android 10 be released?
Google announced Android Q in March, changed it to Android 10 in August, and allowed beta testers to test the software before the official launch on 3 September 2019 for all Google Pixel devices. Other Android devices will have to wait until this year or next year to receive updates.

Android 10 for other Android devices

Asus

Asus has not always been in the best condition with Android updates – it can be a bit random. Although it had a phone on Android 10 beta, we know that an update is coming for at least one device. At the time of launch, Asus promised that Zenfone 6 will get Android 10.

  • Asus Zenfone 5Z
  • Asus Zenfone 6

Blackberry mobile

BlackBerry is slow to update the phone even though it manages to stay on top of security updates. The BlackBerry Key 2 was confirmed to receive Android 10 on its update path, but no official deadline has been announced yet.

  • Blackberry key 2

Essential

Essential Phone has already pushed Android 10 update to open to market customers.

  • Essential phone – 3 September 2019

HTC

HTC has started offering Android Pie only, and with the company almost giving it over the phone, we don’t want to get your hopes up about Android 10.

Huawei

Huawei is in an interesting situation. After being the darling of Android smartphones over the past few years, rising tensions between the US and China have seen the business become more difficult for Huawei. However, the company has stepped in to confirm the status on Android 10.

Huawei says that the following devices are already approved for Android 10 as it was in the beta program.

  • Huawei Mate 20 Pro
However, Huawei has also confirmed that the following devices are also “submitted” for approval for Android 10. This is not a cast-iron guarantee, more nuanced description of intent, but this situation remains fluid, so as we learn more, we will update. Updates on all these devices are expected to be part of the MIUI 10 update. Huawei had previously stated on Weibo that it would push the update immediately after the Pixel, although the situation may be different now.

Honor

Honor has assured customers that it will continue to provide warranties and updates on its phones. This confirms that some will get Android 10.

  • Honor 20 Lite
  • Honor 20
  • Honor 20 Pro

LG

LG is not the biggest force in Android phones, but the flagship phone is on 10 beta, so is likely to see updates in a reasonable timeframe. LG is too slow to update their phones otherwise.

  • Lg G8

Motorola

Motorola has a lot of raw Android phones with little customization, but the result is not always a fast update. However, it has a pair of Android One devices and promises updates in some other areas.

  • Moto one
  • Moto one power
  • Moto one vision
  • Moto g7
  • Moto g7 play
  • Moto g7 power
  • Moto X4 Android One

Nokia

Nokia’s record is good with the update. The company uses Android One on most of its devices and successfully updates most of its devices to Android Pie before anyone else. We would expect the same for Android 10.

Nokia has also confirmed that many of its phones will receive Android 10 updates, and when they are due to land. Depending on which model you have, you can hit your phone anytime from Q4 2019 to Q2 2020. The roll-out of Nokia 8.1 officially started on 10 October 2019.

  • Nokia 8.1 – From 10 October 2019
  • Nokia 9 PureView (Q4 2019)
  • Nokia 7.1 (Q4 2019)
  • Nokia 7 Plus (Q4 2019 – Q1 2020)
  • Nokia 6.1 (Q4 2019 – Q1 2020)

  • Nokia 2.2 (early Q1 2020)

  • Nokia 5.1 Plus (end of Q1 2020)
  • Nokia 3.1 (mid Q2 2020)
  • Nokia 2.1 (mid Q2 2020)

Oneplus

OnePlus is good with the update. Not only does it move quickly to update its new devices, but we also see this old phone. It also has a wide range of devices in Android 10 beta. These phones have been confirmed by OnePlus to get Android 10:

  • OnePlus 5 (Q2, 2020)
  • OnePlus 5T (Q2, 2020)
  • OnePlus 6 (October, 2019)
  • OnePlus 6T (October, 2019)
  • OnePlus 7 – (from 23 September 2019)
  • OnePlus 7 Pro – (from 23 September 2019)
  • OnePlus 7T – (Launched on October 17)
  • OnePlus 7T Pro

Oppo

Oppo is more new to global markets, so we are not through the Android update process as we have with other manufacturers. Oppo has put the standard Reno in 10 beta, however, so we know it will get the final version. We suspect that other Reno models will also be included.

  • Oppo Reno

Razer

We haven’t heard anything from Razor yet.

RealMe

Realme is the budget brand of Oppo and although it is just starting its global march, it is also on Android 10 beta, so it is expected to be updated fast.

  • Realme 3 Pro

Redmi

It seems that some Redmi flagship devices will be updated to Android 10, following a tweet suggesting that these devices will see some Android 10 action:

  • Redmi K20 Pro – Q4 2019
  • Redmi K20 – Q4 2019
  • Redmi Note 7 – Q1 2020
  • Redmi Note 7 Pro – Q1 2020
XDA Developers also noticed that Xiaomi is now updating Redmi K20 Pro in India and China.

Samsung

Samsung does not feel the need to update faster. It has its own UI bringing Android Pie and we suspect that we will not see Android 10 on its devices until the Galaxy S11 is launched by 2020. Do not expect any movement until March 2020.

Sony Xperia

Sony’s record on the update is not very good, but the X Beta has Xperia XZ3. This is good news, as the 2018 phone is likely to be able to go into final build soon after it goes live.

  • Sony Xperia XZ3

Vivo

Vivo has a few phones on the beta list for Android 10, so this confirms some devices that will definitely receive updates.

  • Vivo Nex S
  • Vivo x27
  • Vivo Nex A

Xiaomi

Xiaomi is also very new to global markets, but it seems to be taking Android 10 seriously, with two devices included in the beta, meaning they will get the update. We will also work to get it, except Android One phone. Elsewhere, a timeline shared on Twitter suggests a range of Xiaomi devices. Pocophone has also been confirmed.

  • Xiaomi Mi 9 – Q4 2019
