Apple Camera Fix
When your iPhone camera app turned upside down, all your joy of fumbling adorable pictures turned into despair. Try these hacks to troubleshoot the problem before it completely ruins your photography session!
I’d be lying if I said that I’ve never encountered weird issues on iOS. If the wireless charging problem looks terrible, the Reverse Camera app on the iPhone is no less annoying. Recently, when I launched the camera on the iPhone 11 Pro to snap a few shots, the camera app turned upside down. What must have been a behavior for photography that eventually turned into despair! Thankfully, I soon found a way to get rid of the problem. And that’s what I’m going to talk about in this troubleshooting guide!
iPhone Camera App Stuck Upside Down? See Solution
First of all, there is no definitive solution to fix this camera issue on iOS. To make things a little easier for you, I’ve divided the hacks into two parts: simple and advanced (with this, I mean go for the radical). As always, try the quick trick first. If they can resolve the issue, then you are ready to go. With this little disclaimer, let’s get started!
Quick Tips:
- A short but effective hack is to place the camera lens on top of your iPhone when snapping images or shooting videos. For example, when you want to capture images in portrait orientation, position your iPhone to the right. And when shooting pics in landscape orientation, place the camera lens on the top left corner.
- What about fixing iPhone photos upside down problem? Just in case, the camera app is working fine, but you accidentally grabbed the wrong images, a quick hack to get rid of the problem. Open the photo directly करें Tap on Edit on the top right. Tap on the Rotate icon on the top left and Tap on the Crop tool icon on the bottom tool tap. Then, tap on the icon until the image is in the correct orientation. After that, tap on Done to finish.
Basic Solution:
Force Quit The Camera App And Relaunch It
Whenever I find an abusive app on my iPhone, a reliable trick I often try to get rid of this issue immediately is to “force quit”. This is quite simple to do.
- On your classic iPhones with the home button, simply repeat the home button to enter the app switcher mode. (Swipe up and down from the bottom of the screen on the iPhone without the Home button. Here you will see all currently open apps.)
- Then swipe on the app card to kill the app. Now, restart the device and then launch the Camera app. It should behave normally.
Force Restart Your iPhone
Do I need to explain why hard resetting is almost always when it comes to resolving common issues? No. Then, try it first.
IPhone SE / 6s or earlier: Press the Home and Power buttons for about 10 seconds.
On iPhone 7/7 Plus: Press and hold the volume button and the power button simultaneously.
On iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X or later: Press the button and increase the volume. Press and release and volume down button. After that, press and hold the side button, it will restart.
Slightly Radical Solution:
When basic moves do not produce the desired results, you should avoid trying harder measures.
Update Software On Your iPhone
If the camera app is still stuck upside down on your iOS device, the problem may be very good due to hidden bugs. And to solve this mess, a software update would be the right way. Settings app to navigate ⟶ General ⟶ Software update. Now, tap on download and install. Then, go through the normal process.
Reset All Solutions
It is time to insert iPhone for factory defaults, erasing all existing settings. So, be sure to install everything from scratch. In Key Settings ⟶ General ⟶ Reset ⟶ Reset All Settings. Finally, confirm that you want to delete all existing settings.
Restore your iPhone as new
Oh no! Who wants to restore iPhone with joy to the new look? None (as far as I know). But in situations where nothing works, it is worth giving it a chance. However, never fail to backup your device before going for this solution. To learn more about it, see our complete guide on how to restore iPhone.
