Android Users May Get A New Splash Screen Feature In WhatsApp : Beta Tester Confirmed The News
According to WhatsApp beta tester WABetaInfo, in the latest Android beta version 2.19.297, a new start up screen has been spotted, which they are calling a light splash screen.
WhatsApp is testing to show thier users a new launch screen when you launch the app for the first time. Reportedly, the screen has a WhatsApp logo on a white background.

According to the beta tester, this feature has also been seen in the business beta version of the app, along with the latest Android beta.
Additionally, in addition to the light splash screen, apparently, WhatsApp is also working on a dark splash screen feature that will likely have a logo against the black screen. While there is not much on this mode, we are assuming that the dark splash screen will be activated automatically if you are using system-wide dark mode on your device.

Separately, last week, WhatsApp added the ability to send Memoji as a sticker directly from the emoji keyboard to chat within the iOS version of the app. This feature is now available to all users using the iPhone X and above.
Apart from memoji support, this update has also added the facility to play voice messages directly from the notification prompt. Now you can edit and send media back to the chat by clicking on the doodle icon while viewing the image. These features are still in beta testing phase for Android users.
